Lead Pastor: Bradley Wright (twitter & blog)
(Oversees Preaching, Staff, and vision of Redeemer Presbyterian Church) Brad and his family moved to Sugar Land in the summer of 2007 to team up with a few other families in an effort to begin a new church. Brad is responsible for working with the Session (our elders) to oversee Redeemer and to lead Redeemer in becoming a community of faith, provoked by the Redeemer’s love, to serve Sugar Land and beyond. Brad is a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin where he earned his BA in Psychology. He also attended Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis where he earned his Masters Degree. Brad has served as a Youth Minister at Kirk of the Hills in St. Louis and Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville. He also served as a Minister at Grace Presbyterian Church in the Woodlands before coming to work with Redeemer.
Pastor: Wes Neel
(Oversees Youth and Other Pastoral Ministries at Redeemer Presbyterian Church) Wes took his current position with Redeemer Sugar Land in the Summer of 2010 upon graduation from Covenant Theological Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri, where he earned his Masters of Divinity. Wes pastors the youth at Redeemer and also provides ministry leadership in other areas of the church. While at Seminary, Wes interned at churches in California and Saint Louis. Previously, Wes taught middle school for nine years in both public and private settings in Texas and Missouri. Originally from Texas, Wes graduated from the University of North Texas in the spring of 2001 where he obtained a B.A. in Communication Studies and History.
Lead Musician: Nils Jonsson (twitter)
(Oversees the Music Ministry of Redeemer Presbyterian Church) Nils has led and contributed to worship music for more than 15 years. He has developed interests in performing, improvising, and composing music of various styles since his studies in violin performance at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music during high school and at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. Aiming to combine worthy historic and contemporary church music, he is committed to elevating the quality of what is played and sung in the worship of Christ. He seeks a role for great music from both artistic and folk traditions in magnifying the Redeemer's glory. Nils has been married to Araceli since 1995 and they have four boys who are budding musicians.
Children's Ministry Director: Kristen Autrey
(Oversees the Childrens Ministry of Redeemer Presbyterian Church)
Kristen and her husband, Quique, moved to the Sugar Land area in 2008 to join other families in planting this new church. Kristen is a native of Tennessee, but she proudly calls Texas her second home. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University. She taught third grade for three years in public schools, worked with college students as an intern for Reformed University Fellowship at Rice University, and served for three years as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Houston, TX. These days you can find Kristen chasing after her young son, thinking about children’s ministry, and enjoying time with her family and friends.
